Head Coach - Clay Thielking

Coach Thielking will be returning to Columbine for his 7th year as Varsity head coach. He was the Head Coach at Lakewood High School for 4 years and Head JV coach at Columbine for 6 years. He played college basketball at Grand View College where he was a 4-year starter, 3-year team captain, and an NAIA Academic All American. Coach Thielking has a Masters in Teaching from Drake University.

Assistant Coach - Derek Holliday

Coach Holliday is extremely excited to part of the Columbine Basketball family.  He has a passion for the game and desire to give the program whatever it takes to be successful.  He has been at Columbine coaching football the past 15 years and is currently one of the strength and conditioning teachers in the Physical Education department.  He is a graduate of Columbine that is honored to be able to work with the coaches, athletes, parents, and community in order to provide the best experience possible.

Assistant Coach - Don Hargis

After assisting with JV team here at Columbine for the 2016-17 season, Coach Hargis is excited to transition into the Head Coach for Level 3.  Coach currently teaches Spanish 3 & 4 at Columbine High School and spent the previous four years at Ken Caryl Middle School.  Before coming to Ken Caryl MS, he was a Spanish teacher and the boys and girls coach at Academy Charter School for two years in Castle Rock, CO.  Prior to that, he coached for three years in Columbine’s Gold Crown program.  Coach played baseball and basketball at St. Anthony’s High School in Effingham, IL, and played baseball at Quincy University in Quincy, IL for four years.

Assistant Coach - Kincaid Bimler

This will be Coach Bimler's first year coaching at Columbine. He currently attends Colorado School of Mines. Coach Bimler started coaching in the Dakota Ridge youth program 8 years ago and was the Level 3 coach at Bear Creek for the past two seasons. He is extremely excited to join the Columbine family.
